Bond 45, a New York Italian Kitchen & Bar was originally located on 45th street in the former historic Bond Clothing Store (1948-1977), is now open in its new home on 46th street. Bond 45 is best known for its vegetable antipasto bar which offers a rotating selection of market vegetables and features an expansive menu that include specialty veal chops, seafood, house made pasta, thin crust pizza and breakfast all day.

Everything else we ate was fantastic. We are still talking about the veal chop-it was amazing.
We had a late lunch, so when we got to our dinner reservation we werent' too hungry. But that's not a problem in this restaurant. You can order small plates from the antipasto bar. They do have a wide selction. It's all good. You can order up to 4 different ones. The selection I chose was excellent. I'm sure the rest is equally as good. Yo will not be dissapointed.
Fantastic selection of steaks and entree's with an flare for Italian. Go for their specialties, you won't be disappointed. With more than 250,000 restaurants in the city to choose from, service counts and Bond 45 wins in this category hands down. From the hostess to the bus boy and everyone in between. Every time we're in New York, we go to Bond 45 and it never dissapoints. The steaks are some of the best I've ever had. There appetizers are delicious including the housemade mozzarella which we can't get ANYTHING like at home. The restaurant is always energetic and the staff is friendly and attentive without being stuffy or non-existent which is the problem at a lot of other New York restaurants. We constantly recommend Bond 45 to everyone - it's our favorite restaurant in New York!
This is a large busy restaurant yet the service is wonderful, food is delicious, and the overall experience is great-as it is everytime we dine here.
Great snapper in a clay pot and the fish preparation "pomodoro" in parchment--very little pomodoro, but great flavor and lo everything. And pasta with shrimp very nice too. Crab "steak" a nice alternative to pan fried crab cakes (it's served with no breading on top of a crostini with remoulade on the side). This is not high end foodie stuff but a great option in the theatre district. Gets a bit loud.
We went to the restaurant after the theater, which was convenient. It has great ambiance. All the food was good. Although we were welcomed, our server seemed to rush us and was rather abrupt in his manner, even a little condescending, but other than that, the other service staff was great. We were glad we went there.
I thought the food was good but the main waiter did not do a good job. All of the other attendees were very receptive to our needs. He would show up at the table evry half hour as we were there for a little over two hours
My better half and I finished up in Manhattan sooner than expected and David Cohen, the manager of Bond 45 gladly seated us early. Kyle was our well informed and excellent waiter. We are generally light eaters so we shared the Steamed Mussels Bianca as an appetizer. Delicious and light, we used additional slices of fresh baked bread to get every last drop from the bowl.
