I picked this restaurant because of it's location and write ups on the web. We were a party of 5 for a birthday lunch before the theatre ages ranging from 87 - 29 and everyone LOVED their meal and tastes of everyone else's. The write ups did not do this restaurant justice. The food and staff were exceptional.
Still my favorite place in the City. I recommend people here all the time, and never have a complaint from friends or clients. if you don't mind the $50 price for it; order the veal chop parmesan - it is the best you will ever have-- and big enough to split (which makes the price much better too)-- The caesar salad and the fried artichoke are excellent as well

The comments regarding servers not following through with items asked for are correct. This is especially true for a busy time, such as 2 hours before a Broadway show, which is when we went. Also true, are the comments regarding the entrees being a bit overpriced. Expect a lot of noise from the pre-show dinner crowd.
If you like breaded veal escalope...served exactly as they serve it in Austria, this is the place. Also the anti-pasta selections are excellent.
I had a dozen people celebrating a birthday. Most NYC restaurants will NOT hold bar space for you and they will give you an attitude about trying to. Not only did the BOND 45 go out of their way to accommodate my group, they rearranged furniture and bar stools to make my 2 hour pre-theatre happy hour a smashing success. Special thanks to the manager. We will be back soon!
Even by Times Square tourist standards Bond 45's prices are absurd. $35 pasta? I live in NYC but these prices are ridiculous. Pretty place though.
