This is one of our standbys in the Theatre District. It's consistently good for a whole meal or a before or after theatre snack;
Food was good as always, but unfortunately at or last visit the service was terrible. IT was not very crowded and the waiter was not to be seen for most of the night. He was helpful when he did materialize and made some good suggestions, but practically had to stand up and wave at hm to get his attention and it pretty much ruined the night. The food is fine, but I doubt I'd go back any time soon.
Extremely enjoyable but we didn't walk away feeling like we'd just had a $200 meal that was worth every penny. The veal parm. was great, in fact, enough for both of us. Waiter made a great call suggest we split the entree after 2 tasty apps. The fried artichokes sounded better than they probably were. Tasty, but not $16 worth. It's NY, it's fun...you worry about money some other time, but in hindsight, probably not a great value.
Honored my reservation at exactly the time I requested! Food, service, ambience all very good. I would definitely return. The location is excellent for pre-theater. Only negative is too small a ladies room for the size of the restaurant. That is very minor compared to the rest of the dining experience.
Antipasto choices are plentiful and good. The fried artichoke alla guidea was very much like the artichokes in Rome. Have to have that again!!
Best pizza-thin crispy bases! A little pricey but I love it! Their mozzarella misto platter is also out of this world!

We had Anthony as our waiter and he was the absolute BEST!!! Food, service, everything was fantastic.
Food and service are good. You always know what you are getting. It is very loud so sitting on the perimeter is must if you want to hear your dinner companions. If you need to be at the theatre on time, they will get you there.
