Everything from menu selections to service made repeat trips to this diner during our vacation feel like coming home. Highly recommend.

It is a real old fashion railway diner! Who knew it was even there! I've lived in NYC for 35 years and never knew about this place until I had to meet out of town friends at a restaurant around the Time Warner Center. So I picked this place because there was something for everyone to eat on the menu. Very good burger. Very light on the extras though. Just a plate with a burger and small amount of fries (which my hips appreciated!) but no cole slaw or on-the-plate salad...but the burger was fresh and juice so no complaints on... read more

Fabulous Fun dinner at Brooklyn Diner! The service was exceptional and our waiter was so helpful in recommending items. The milkshakes stole the show! Yummy! We had never eaten rugalagh and the bartender told us about it and we loved it! Chicken soup tasted great and hit the spot on a cold night! Really enjoyed everything!

Burgers, Chicken Pot Pie and cheesecake are great. Don't waste money on the salads.

For someone who grew up in Brooklyn, the menu is heaven. I often bring out-of-town visitors, especially if we're going to Carnegie Hall. Service is friendly and attentive without being annoying.

My fiancé and I visited this diner as a last minute option on a slow evening. I wasn't feeling up to exploring new things and I don't particularly like diner food so I ordered the spaghetti, I suppose this was my mistake. The meal was overall tasteless with the best part being the meatballs. Unfortunately, one of my meatballs was completely inedible. Not sure how or why, I simply could not get my fork into it - at all. A little concerning. After we were finished it took probably 10-15 minutes to actually receive the check de... read more

Know going in that this is a $22 hotdog experience and you will be happy with everything. Our food was very tasty, and portion sizes were as expected. The historical diner feel was spot on. It was a bit overstaffed for dining levels when we arrived so we were 'treated' to an earful of industry chatter between two managers that was a verging on inappropriate for my taste. We ordered a cookie to take with us and the server brought it out on a plate with ice cream. When we clarified that we requested it to go he wrapped it for ... read more

Ate there on a Sunday afternoon. They had my reservation, but we still had to wait for a table. I had a Pastrami on Rye. This isn't the Carnegie Deli. Meat was good, but only about 1/2 the amount you used to get at the Carnegie.
