We make this a go-to stop whenever we visit NYC. Food is consistently excellent. The dessert menu used to be better, but what the do offer is excellent.
Love coming here it’s a bit pricey for breakfast but worth it. We accidentally booked the other location but the manager was able to accommodate our large party. Best coffee and we love the polenta bites.
My hubby and I were in NYC over the Christmas holiday, '19. We had reservations here on Christmas Day for dinner - our last night in NYC. We could not have been more pleased! They acknowledged our reservation immediately, promptly seated us, and we had excellent service from our waiter. We loved the "50's diner" ambience, and the food was out of this world!! We first visited on (our first) a trip from London over 20 years ago (and we’ve been back every time since) and it’s always as good as the first time!!
Come back here every year the host is fabulous and very amicable .sadly ,the table service we received was really poor . To expect a tip of even 10 percent would be too much .asked for mustard 3 times ..then just got it myself . Maybe he was having a bad day but is it too much to expect your waiter to be half way friendly .Otherwise food nice .book in advance as diner gets busy . Great host thou .
