Their Eggplant Parm was rubbery and stodgy, but Brooklyn Diner is such a comfortable place to meet before a concert that overall it is the place to go in my opinion. The salad was good and their desserts are wonderfully decadent. I find the prices rather high but reasonable considering how close they are to Carnegie Hall.

Very traditional nice place, with good options for brunch and breakfast. The service is good and fast. Really recommend to book a table in advance, specially during the weekend.
The Brooklyn Diner is always a must for my wife and I when we are in Manhattan. Great food, great service. Highly recommend the Mac and Cheese and the hot dogs!
Je recommande ce restaurant. Nous sommes allés sur le resto de la 57e rue. J’ai pris le pâté de poulet. Un vrai délice. Ce sont de très grosses portions. Le service était courtois et rapide. J’y retournerais certainement lors de prochain voyage à New York.
Food is always delicious! Our server had NO access to our table, once another party sat beside us. He had to pass food over their table, between their two faces!! Terrible for potential germ issues!

A very lovely place to eat and have great food in NY.
We had visited the Brooklyn Diner on our previous visits to New York in 2012 and 2016 and it was high on our list to revisit on our recent trip in September 2022. It is still very authentic and the food quality remains good ( my husband especially enjoyed his hot dog) and they have added an nice outside seating area. However, we found the menu choices more limited than before, especially the breakfast choices.
