Classy outdoor dining 4 steps above the W.57th Street sidewalk-level frenzy! Perfect mid-town location, great service..and the best (reasonably priced) burger and fries I've eaten in a long time.
The seating is odd and tight. The tables were very sticky, The food was good but not great and the prices are ridiculous even for Manhattan
The Pastrami sandwich is to die for and the outdoor seating patio is excellent

Slow service and breakfast all day is not what you think. No pancakes nor French toasts for dinner.
Our server was fantastic and the diner itself is very nice. The vegetarian options are really non-existent though so I couldn't give a better review on the food. I would not recommend to a vegetarian/vegan friend as the only real options for them are off the appetizer menu. The appetizers are not large enough to use as an entree.
I love Brooklyn Diner! Even though the food has gone downhill over the years, it is still better than most local diners to this area. The Hosts and waiters are wonderful and the waitstaff top rate. I miss some of the special touches that used to make this place a cut above the rest like the candy rimmed Sunshine Shake or the orange zest on the blueberry pancakes, little things like that. I will still return as I have for over 20 years and hope the food doesn’t decline further.
