Chicken Pot Pie was amazing as usual .It is always a must stop for me each year while in New York

This Brooklyn Diner is a charming, warm and inviting place to eat, spend quality time and be in the heart of Manhattan. 'Great food, great atmosphere, welcoming and attentive service.
Excellent meals, but a bit overpriced as most restaurants in this neighborhood.
Good food, not at diner prices. This is for someone who is out of town who has never been to a diner before. Growing up in NJ, I know diners. Now that I live in the city for 20+ years, I am used to pricey meals. But in the heart of tourist central, my lunch for three burgers and cokes was $100. Burgers were good but nothing special about the meal. Very friendly service. Won't rush to go back.
Excellent food. We like the ambiance of the old style diner. Worth going to. We have been their for breakfast, lunch and dinner over the years and they do a good job with all of it.
The prices are very high, but considering the neighborhood, I guess it's to be expected. The portions are very big, for the most part. The pastrami sandwich is not as big as I hoped (certainly compared to someplace like Katz Deli.) The chicken pot pie and Chinese salad were good sized portions. It's not a place for a leisurely meal. It has a rushed New York feel which is great sometimes, particularly before theatre.
I want the pot roast to come back!!!!
Everyone at Brooklyn Diner was extremely nice and attentive. You can tell they pride themselves in making a great dining experience for their guests. The food was very good too.
