Diner’s in Midtown Manhattan are kind of pricey as a rule. But I don’t mind if the food is good. Brooklyn Diner delivers on good diner food plus great shakes and that enormous hot dog. If you’re looking for gourmet, then give it a pass. But, if your looking for comfort food st a relatively reasonable price, this is your place.

This diner was a recommendation from a friend in the UK. My husband and I had reserved a table for lunch and it was just as well as there was quite a long queue of people waiting by about 2.30pm, when we left! The service was very good and my husband’s burger was outstanding. My omelette was quite tasty but nothing special! I thought that the food at the diner was very expensive for what it was but there was a great atmosphere and I guess that is partly what you pay slightly inflated prices for!
