This is a decent restaurant if you are going to be near Lincoln Center for a show, and don't wish to walk too far. The Location is great. The food and service are in the middle. The server was friendly, but I agree with other reviewers that it generally seems a bit cold and impersonal. The food is on the pricey side, but doesn't really live up to standards you would expect to get from this price point. Calamari APP was a small portion and had other items added in besides Calamari to further save on their cost. Spaghetti and ... read more

The food at Cafe Fiorello is awesome! The pasta is always perfect al dente, the service - even on a crowded night was impeccable and timed perfectly without feeling rushed. Never had a bad experience and open table helped ensure we had a reservation. The chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate heart and even the red ribbon on the table, made it feel like a special night for valentines. Looking forward to coming back!

It was my birthday and we were seeing the King and I at Lincoln Center. We often dine at Cafe Fiorello when in that area . The cafe is always crowded and jumping. The food was excellent. We had the three vegetable antipasto. I had the grilled lamb chops and my wife had the red snapper livorese. We enjoyed them both. Will definitely go back again.

The food was amazing. We were a table of four and ordered a variety of food such as meatballs and spaghetti (delicious), pizza, and several seafood specialties. The wait staff is fantastic and very attentive. The noise level is a little high but not enough that you couldn't have conversation. I don't head into the city often but it was a wonderful treat prior to see the King and I at Lincoln Center which is directly across the street from the restaurant. Would definitely recommend Cafe Fiorello to anyone looking for a great ... read more

Have eaten here several times before. As usual the service was very fast and the food very good.

Homemade pasta and great wine list. They were super about accommodating theatre-goers on a tight schedule. Loud and cramped, but worth it for the food.

This is one of my favorite pre-Lincoln Center dining spots. On this foray, the fried artichoke appetizer and the beet, arugula and goat cheese salad were right on the mark. (Actually their version of the salad is definitive .... Wonderful.). But the Osso Buco was cringe worthy. Pallid, insipid, with not one scintilla of any herb anywhere in the mix. And the meat had an odd texture like the entire mess had been boiled, not braised. Steer clear of this dish.

Tried and true, where you are always a welcome guest...you may have to wait if you don't have a reservation but you'll never be turned away. The energy of the place is right up there, never a dull night, and where else can you get such a grand assortment of vegetables! Of course the paper thin pizza is always a hit, before indulging in Cotolette ala Milanese.
