As usual, Cafe Fiorello is my favorite when attending a performance at Lincoln Center, whether for lunch, dinner or after dinner. The lunch salad that I recently had was fresh with a variety of greens, other vegetables and chicken. Am also a fan of the antipasto bar selection and of the thin crust pizza. Highly recommend.
When in New York it's always our favorite place for dinner especially after the Opera. Great for " Opera stars" watching as well!
Food and service is very good ... unfortunately we were there on a Sat night at 5:15 and ended up being seated along the front window rather than in a booth or even in the main restaurant as I had requested. In my reservation I stated that we were 4 friends from various parts of the country and requested a booth so we could talk. Instead, we were in a very noisy area by the bar and front door where conversation was difficult. Others were seated in the main restaurant and I couldn't help but wonder why we were not.
A wonderful restaurant across the street from Lincoln center. Be sure to make reservations for dining before the opera. Also a nice place for a quiet weekday breakfast (though not as cheap as a cafe). Check out the pancakes and the eggs florentine. The Italian Wedding soup is one of my favorites. And the weekend brunch is great.
While I had been to Cafe Fiorello several times for dinner, this was my first time there for lunch. Those in my party enjoyed the two course luncheon options. Professional and friendly service added to this excellent dining experience.
Wonderful as usual! Ordered the Italian Wedding Soup & the Branzino for the first. Absolutely delicious.
We always go to Cafe Fiorello for the wonderful vegetable and seafood selections set up in a 20 foot bar just inside the entrance. Sitting at the bar and then selecting from numerous beautifully prepared vegetarian and seafood platters, from which the bar staff assembles a plate, is one of Manhattan's gourmet treats. Great for something not too filling before an evening at Lincoln Center, right across he street. The bar staff in Tommy Bahama hats is very pleasant; and a good time is had by all.
Main courses are very generous; they are probably better suited for sharing or family-style.
Great food. Veal Parm to die for, but at $26.00 I don't know why they cannot include a side of pasta with the veal. Had to order a pasta dish that was much more than needed. My wife ordered the deconstructed lasagne. It was good, but not up to the veal. They offer a great looking antipasto selection. Did not try it, but it looked deliciious. Cannoli's were outstanding with dessert. Great traditional, upper scale Italian restaurant.
