My husband and I got engaged 34 years ago at the Fiorello s that was on Third Ave. We decided it would be fun to take our kids and their significant others to Fiorellos for my husband's birthday dinner. We all loved it, (including my "foodie" son). The food was amazing - very tender calamari, yummy caesar salad, amazing pasta carbonara, and the open lasagna is as great as ever. The service was terrific, the food was terrific, the wine was terrific -- a perfect evening.
We -two couples- had a wonderful pre-Lincoln Center meal. We shared vegetarian antipasti, loved all 5, and had individual entrees, also vegetarian. We were happy to have so many non-meat options. Best of all was our shared dessert-a huge dish of chocolate mousse with a mountain of whipped cream beside it. (Plus chocolate chip cookies, still warm, given out by one of the employees.) We left quite full, quite happy, and on time.
I ordered Pasta Primavera. It was excellent. Breads served here are great as well.
For being across the street from Lincoln Center the place is reasonably priced with good food and efficient service. The Italian dishes, especially the pastas and finger foods are very good. We dine here often during the Lincoln Center season and have for years. That's also unusual for the area as restaurants come and go very quickly. Its also a sign that they have found the "sweet spot" in overall restaurant management. It is very popular for before or after performances so reservations are a must especially at those times.
Went for a pre theatre dinner on a very busy Saturday. The place was jammed to capacity with a queue of people who had not booked (we had booked and were seated immediately). The pizzas are very tasty and well made. The large size is too big for one person so could be shared. Salads are also of very large portion size using very fresh and tasty ingredients. The tables are packed in tightly so not a place for intimate conversations and the noise level was very high but created quite a buzzy atmosphere.
Delicious as always with great service!
We had a great waiter. Love the place and love the food.
The food was great and the staff could not have been more accommodating and charming. We had a memorable time in a quiet corner that really helped conversation with one member of our party who is hard of hearing.
This a great iconic spot to dine in the Lincoln Center area. Yes it is noisy. Yes the seating is tightly arranged. But that is part of the attraction. The food and service are terrific. Good value, too. Cafe Fiorello is a welcome part of any Lincoln Center show experience.
