Happy, comfortable ambience, a great staff and good food and located perfectly for pre and post cultural events.
Everything was good, the biggest negative was the price for a glass of wine.
Had a nice if pricey dinner before the opera. Staff very friendly. Food good but not outstanding. Very large portions, so consider splitting if you get starters as well as mains. Biggest plus is its location right across from Lincoln Center.
I have frequented the restaurant often and always found it a pleasant experience. The food has always been to my satisfaction and the menu varied. The location is perfect for me since I live in the immediate area. I expect that I will be returning in the near future.
Fiorello's has great ambiance. The plush booths and attentive service are the first items one notices upon entry. The wine list is good as well. The Tapas (vegetable appetizers) were superb. However, main dishes left something to be desired. Pasta with meat sauce was more meat than pasta, hard for a pasta lover! Our other entree, a chicken salad was also good, without being a standout. Altogether, it was pleasant but the food did not wow us!
I'm not one to order 'everyday' dishes in restaurants, but Cafe Fiorello's lasagne is the exception! Just imagine single layer - huge platter - burrata cheese & short rib meatballs. It's truly that good! Location is ideal for pre/post show meal but make sure you have reservations; otherwise you'll be in for quite a wait... but that's ok... they're thoughtful enough to pour you some Prosecco while you wait.
Fiorello's is a long-standing establishment in the Lincoln Center area, but they do need to step up to the plate to compete with all of the new restaurants surrounding them. The atmosphere is dated. The food is still great. The service was spotty - waitress didn't know basic answers to questions we had. Very busy, not quite relaxing.
Never fails to please and satisfy! The food here is just wonderful. There is no doubt that their pizza is the finest in the city for those who like a thin crust "dinner" pizza. I strongly recommend for dessert their bucket of moose. It's fantastic! The choice of appetizers has got to be the best in the city bar none. Make reservations because this is a very busy place!
Excellent food and service, as usual. We eat here on our visits to New York from the UK.
