Homemade pasta and great wine list. They were super about accommodating theatre-goers on a tight schedule. Loud and cramped, but worth it for the food.
This is one of my favorite pre-Lincoln Center dining spots. On this foray, the fried artichoke appetizer and the beet, arugula and goat cheese salad were right on the mark. (Actually their version of the salad is definitive .... Wonderful.). But the Osso Buco was cringe worthy. Pallid, insipid, with not one scintilla of any herb anywhere in the mix. Dependably good and dependably friendly
Tried and true, where you are always a welcome guest...you may have to wait if you don't have a reservation but you'll never be turned away. Of course the paper thin pizza is always a hit, before indulging in Cotolette ala Milanese.
Great to go during the off hours as you can have a choice of booths!
Went over the weekend for brunch with two friends. Everything was perfect! Wait staff was helpful with suggestions and fulfilling our every need. Not pushy or hovering either! Great service, the environment and ambience is old school Italian... like an old school NY steakhouse, but what shines is menu. Great antipasto bar!
Over the years, I have found Café Fiorello to be a perfect oasis when in the Lincoln Center area. There is such a gracious effort to make the guest feel welcome, there are always interesting and excellent additions to the menu (a whole lobster pizza and duck cacciatore were the latest that I noticed) and the service is so attentive and intelligent . . . well, they could do a lot worse and still be brilliant. I usually come here after a Lincoln Center performance, and it's a late night delight because you don't feel that you'... read more
