I always order the lasagna. My wife tried the baked eggplant parmigiana for the first time and really enjoyed it. The baked goods on the way out are always a nice touch. This has become our regular place to eat whenever we are in the area, especially before one of our shows at Lincoln Center.
Make it a point to eat at Cafe Fiorello every single time I'm in NYC. Have been eating here for years and have never been disappointed. It's a bustling, lively spot that consistently delivers on food quality and attentive service. They always accommodate my food allergies and even offer a wide variety of gluten-free selections. Kids are not treated as a nuisance, but are embraced. It is always busy so reservations are a good idea. Don't miss out on the chicken parm with pepperoni!
We took our ten year old grandson to his first show (King and I), and then to Cafe Fiorello across the street. We were worried it would be mobbed after the show, but we were seated immediately at a nice table inside. Although busy, our waitress came quickly, and was very helpful and knew the large menu quite well. The food was all excellent. Best for antipasto at the bar. Love the chocolate chip cookies.
Delicious and not jammed; it's worth going to NYC in August.
Lunch before theatre at Lincoln center. Service was friendly and prompt. Enjoyed a delicious salad outside. Although is was noisy mostly street traffic it was lovely.
This is the perfect spot in advance of a concert or opera at Lincoln Center. The welcome was outstanding and friendly and the service impeccable. Notable was the fact that waiters generally seem concerned for you and will fill water glasses or provide cutlery even if "not their table." Food hearty and well presented. A little expensive when all was computed.
We have dined here on a number of occasions. It is terrifically located right on Broadway, steps from Lincoln Center. They have a nice indoor section and a real nice outdoor dining area which, on a nice weather day, cannot be beat! There is a large menu with choices of many different types of foods. The other day, I had a Special French Toast for brunch which was sensational, with raisins and slivered nuts inside. It was sooo tasty that it did not need any butter or syrup or anything--just a fork! Two of our party ordered th... read more
Cutting corners and cutting back. They used to have a courtesy Bellini at brunch. Now it is extra. The pizza crust is still divine but sooo little on top of the crust. And frequently there are new wait staff being trained by not that experienced waiters/waitresses. They have always been so dependable, but being knocked by the Smith and Boulud on both sides may have pushed them to cut down instead of maintain and raise the level of quality.
