We had ballet tickets and wanted to find a place for dinner close to Lincoln Center. Cafe Fiorello is right across the street. We chose to sit outside where we had a great view of the fountain and theaters and the passersby. The wine (pinot grigio), entree (we shared a huge serving of lasagna) and dessert (we shared a lemon tart) were superb. It was a wonderful evening that we will long remember.
This place has some nice dishes and a friendly wait staff, but prices are high for what you get. I don't mind paying for fine food but dislike overpaying for food. That said, they do a pretty good job with most dishes, just not spectacular.
Was a great spot for dinner before Lincoln Center performances. What has happened? The first course arrived after the main course the cappuccino looked nice but was cold! Better spots near by.
we often go there when we have tickets to the opera, ballet or NY Phil concert. The food and service are excellent and our out-of-town visitors always enjoy it.
Despite being jammed with everyone trying to make the curtain across the street our service was quick, efficient and pleasing. The food was fine.
Love this place - the food is great - but I wish they would be more organized with their reservations.. When we came on Saturday, after making reservations through Open Table, they claimed we had no reservations.... .
Dover Sole was fantastic. Cocktails were great too. Beautiful place to have an outstanding dinner. Also the service was great, that is, when you could get your hands on a waiter. I think they try to accommodate to many people, making it impossible to give each patron the attention they need. I enjoyed my time there and will certainly go back, next time with plenty of time to enjoy.
We flew in from out of town and our flight arrived late. We were under the gun to eat and make our broadway Show- Kinky Boots on time. WE explained this to our server and he said 'Let's get this done.' And he did! We each only had entrees- me the Lobster Fra Diavolo with papardelle pasta, mussels and shrimp, and my wife the Lobster Avocado salad. Both arrived quickly and were excellent.
