When you have theater, ballet, a concert or opera to "catch" Cafe Fiorello is the place to eat. The wait staff is time sensitive (if notified by you), and the food is well prepared be it the multiple choices for antipasto, the fish (salmon particularly delicious) or the reliably prepared Italian favorites (very thin crust individual pizzas are offered too). Be aware that the noise level is above moderate especially pre-theater when the sidewalk and main dining areas are nicely crowded. Expect a tasty, palate pleasing meal se... read more
Cafe Fiorello has been a favorite place for me for years. The food is consistent, and often an entree is enough for two. The staff is always 'on their game' and offer high quality service. Dining outside can be a challenge with the traffic on B'way and 9th but is great later in the evening. A true treasure.
Cafe Fiorello is the perfect place for a pre-Lincoln Center dinner. The food is tasty, the menu reasonably varied within an overall Italian focus, and the service is excellent -- fast without being rushed.
Well, we are visiting NY and were looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion. They were superb, in fact better than the last time we had them in Rome. The plates w... read more
We enjoyed the meal. However we got caught in the rain. We ate outdoors. Had to move to another table.
Very convenient for Lincoln Center with decent food but the noise level on a busy pre-theater Saturday night was deafening. Eating outside is probably quieter as long as you don't mind the car fumes.
Tables are close especially near bar Find a table further back. A table for four or more gets a less cramped experience. Food is excellent but pricey. Soft shell crabs were perefect. The chicken parm with pepperoni was outstanding
Always a great spot for lunch before a matinee at Lincoln Center. Friendly and professional staff serving delicious food.
Great location near Lincoln Center with classic Italian menu. Ate outside on a beautiful evening which made it all the more special. The food was very good with an excellent thinly pounded chicken & veal parm on a bone which flowed over the plate. Prices are reasonable and the service was spot on. The inside bar was also great with an abundance of antipasto platters surrounding the bar much like you would see in most Italian trattorias. Try it for pre-Lincoln Center event or if you are just enjoying the Central Park area.
