A neighborhood gem with good italian food as it should be in every restaurant in the city. We've tried their pizza, pasta and desert and it's always delicious no matter what time of the day or day of the week. Consistency in food flavor, great service and great indoor or outdoor seating is what makes Fiorello a gem.
Cafe Fiorello's chief advantage is its location. It is just a block from Lincoln Center . Our experience this time was better than it has been in the past because we were seated in a better area . Some areas have a very high noise level and others - close to the entrance - are too warm for comfort in the summer . Ashly, the manager, was extremely helpful to resolve a conflict with another customer. Very professional and very much appreciated.
The thin crust pizzas are our favorite. Add a few salads, a bottle of wine and chocolate mousse for dessert! The pizzas used to be on the menu all of the time. They are now only available on the menu after 8:00 PM. Order them anyway. You will get them. You will not be sorry.
Our group of 7 all had a great time. We especially love the antipasto choices.
Dinner was fantastic! Our group of five--2 adults, 3 children--sat beneath the outdoor canopy as the rain poured and the city continued to scurry. Our children were pleasantly accommodated with Shirley Temples and penne with marinara, while the manager approached, chatted and drew smiley faces at place settings for each child. The bus stops just in front of Cafe Fiorello, and Lincoln Center is just across the street. Our dinner arrived promptly and was delicious. Carl, our waiter, was quite professional for such a young person, and served us in the European manner. All in all, a winner of a restaurant choice!
The food is amazing but the staff seals the deal. The entire crew at the bar might very well be the best in Manhattan.
