Good food, nice service, and very convenient to Lincoln Center. The staff was especially accommodating. Our original reservation started out for 2 people, then we added 1 more, then another 2 more. This was all done with a smile from the staff.
Our party of five (including three European visitors) was welcomed warmly and seated promptly at the table we had reserved. Unfortunately, the menu provided by a link on Open Table the day before our visit (and which I had printed and brought with us, fortunately) was long out of date, so prices on our menus were a lot higher than we had anticipated. If you're going to any event in the area, specifically Lincoln Center, this is the place to go!! The food is excellent!
A must each and every time we visit NYC. We try to visit NYC monthly. Upper West Side neighborhood gem, marvelous for late nite dining too.
Right at Lincoln Center, great food! Parts of the restaurant are more lively/noise than others. When possible we choose to sit in their back room which is quieter. Portions are generous.
The food is always excellent which is why we go there before the theater. However, this time, We had an outstanding waiter. Unfortunately, I do not remember his name, however when we ordered, the restaurant was out of a very standard dish that is always on the menu. This waitor went out of his way to find out what we wanted instead and although it WASN'T on the menu, he created a dish that could not have been better. While cafe fiorello is a tourist spot, the food was of surprisingly good quality. They easily accommodated our large group, and offered amazing service. I can't wait to go back again!
Unfortunately our Father's Day dinner was marred by the presence of an obstreperous toddler who made his parents and everyone in the room miserable for a half hour until he was carried outside to calm down. Our server seemed new but very capable. Our food was delicious as always. The toddler tantrum led to a good discussion at our table about the age at which one should dine out with ones children.
