We had an early dinner at Fiorello before a performance at Lincoln Center. The antipasto were absolutely wonderful. The mushrooms should not be missed. The roasted asparagus was very tender as well. There was a limited menu that night due to a gas problem but we were very happy sharing an ultra thin crust pizza with a little tomato, burrata and prosciutto - a special request. The espresso was excellent as well. The espresso was pleasant, helpful and accommodating. It might have been pleasant to sit in the large outdoor area ... read more
One of the few places that really lived up to the Yelp hype. The host (David) was very friendly and so refreshing for NYC. The pasta (tortelli bolognese) was so delicious. In fact, it was so good, I went there the next night and brought a friend. Highly recommended. It is crowded (for good reason) so make a reservation!
It's amazing that they have been able to keep up their warm hospitality, luscious food and desserts to swoon over for all these years. When we want "delicious and creative Italian" this is our first choice. Don't miss their unique take on lasagna, their marvelous and extensive appetizers display, and their meringue cake or lemon tort.
The salad and antipasti are very good. The main course was smothered in sauce. Far too much. And this was not the first time. The server was excellent.
Scallops were delicious however farrow and peas, etc. were not of my liking. Prices are too high for presentation, and type of food served. The antipasto was not very inspiring or tasty. In the past, this was an excellent restaurant however, prices have soared, too loud and food not distinctive for the price.
We are from Philadelphia and whenever we go to Lincoln Center, we go to Cafe Fiorello - great food and reasonable.
We love this restaurant when we go to the Opera, theater, ballet, etc at Lincoln Center. The staff is helpful and attentive and the food is always fresh and delicious.
Fantastic service, the antipasto bar was wonderful and so were the entrees.
I have dined here twice, each time I have been visiting from San Francisco and attending the Metropolitan Opera. It's the perfect post performance treat, whether you're attending a matinee, as I was last Saturday, or stopping off after an evening performance. The host and staff make you feel very welcome, even if you're solo, and the service is very good. This time I had the pappardelle which was done "al forno" with thin slices of eggplant parmigiana and brought to the table sizzling, straight from the oven. I loved it and ... read more
