Selling points were quality, safety, and cleanliness. We are not sure of the quality yet, though the shingles were among those recommended by Consumer Reports. There were workers on the roof in the dark on the first night. Though no one was injured, safety was a concern. Cleanliness was very disappointing as we will be picking up debris into the spring.
Attention to detail was poor. The siding itself is beautiful but caulking was done very sloppily. One angled piece was cut incorrectly, leaving a half inch gap exposed and unprotected. White PVC trim has paint color smears.
Very bad communication among sales, project management, construction crew and customer. No drawing with dimensions was provided so the final result was smaller than expected. Pricing was on the highest side.
They didn't communicate with me on a couple of things. I got a lot of emails and phone calls but when I was waiting for someone there was no one there. I got to the location after traveling 2 hours and the supervisor did not show up. The crew was there but none of them spoke English. I found out that the supervisor had a meeting but I was never told. Also, the porta potty has yet to be removed.
They never responded or completed the items I identified on final walk through. Job wah "completed" end of June and we are basically in October. I would never recommend this company.
Poor communication, unskilled hardie installers
After I raised the issues that needed more attention the process came back on track and in the end I was very satisfied with the final project. It was more the process that had problems.
I'm up in the air. Everyone so far has been very helpful and friendly. The roof project was fast and looked great. Our gutters look great, and our siding is getting there. However there have been some lack of communication around certain times, and fixes. Our trim didn't end up the right color on our main door in the end and we gave up because the project was going long and we knew the other color wouldnt look bad.
