The whole place was sketchy. They refused to give us the room, then charged us for it. Booking.com basically stole my credit card information, so had to cancel my card, no one to talk to at booking.com. I've opened a dispute and CITI is working on it. The man at the hotel was just as bad, refusing to let us stay, promising we wouldn't be charged, saying his boss would fire him if he did let us stay. Dieses Hotel bedarf einer Grundsanierung. Das Zimmer war alt sehr abgewohnt, hinter dem Bett war Schimmel im Kühlschrank waren noch Essensreste vom Vorgänger. Die Idee mit dem Frühstückskorb ist ganz nett. Aber die Produkte waren nicht der Hit. Das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen und die Parkplätze sind direkt vor der Türe.
Preis Leistung stimmt nicht Kleine Zimmer Niemand war am Empfang, man musste anrufen und dann auch nicht wirklich organisiert Frühstück muss man am Empfang abholen und warten bis jemand kommt. Milch war sauer, wurde aber ausgetauscht. Lage und Bett war bequem Parken direkt vor Ort gratis möglich

Overall it was ok but the hotel definitely needs updating. Facilities are definitely old and need updating. Fan was broken, no screens in windows, bed was old and uncomfortable, and feels expensive for what you get. Location was good and everything in Carmel was reachable on foot.

Will not recommend this hotel. Very disappointing. My reservation coincided with severe weather conditions, streets were flooded, electrical power was down, restaurants were closed and all beached accesses were damaged. My attempts to reschedule were handled badly and very unprofessional, resulting in a complete loss of my reservation costs. Usually I visit Carmel every year at this low tourist time and could not not understand why the staff could not accommodate me considering this historical storm. Nothing.
