Good Unfortunately there was construction across the street from the hotel. The first room we got therefore suffered from loud construction noises during the day and early in the morning. However, they did let us change our hotel room on the second day, and then the construction was no longer an issue. The other annoyance was that the office was not staffed for a couple hours when we wanted to change our rooms, and this caused an inconvenience because we waited for them to return. No frills and very convenient. It was clean, comfortable and very convenient. We arrived late at night, and our keycards had been left in an envelope. We left early in the morning. We didn't meet any staff, and everything was self-service. That was not a problem at all. Also, Carmel has some great restaurants.
