Went there for our anniversary, booked online, open table. We got there just a tad early, sat at the bar. Got our table promptly on time and our experience from then on was excellent! Salad bar was amazing, steak was delicious, wait staff was prompt and very attentive. We will definitely be back and will recommend this place to everyone looking for a great meal!
The food was excellent! It’s true what they say; if you come here, come hungry. It’s a bit pricy but well worth it. Lovely setting if you want to impress your lady. My girlfriend absolutely loved every minute.
We've celebrated both my birthday and my boyfriend's birthday at Chama Gaucha this year and both times our experiences were exceptional. The service is the most attentive and polite and knowledgable I've ever experienced at any restaurant and we would definitely come back any time!
Excellent meat and salad choices. It all tastes wonderful. We have been multiple times for special family occasions. A little pricey that is why we don't go more often. If you can't eat a lot it is not worth the cost.
Outstanding start to finish. The best money I have ever spent for a meal, which in reality turned into a feast.

This is the second brazilian restaurant we have tried in San Antonio (the other one was downtown). I would rate both as equal in terms of service, ambiance, quality of food, etc. However, the downtown restaurant's salad bar was much better. For example, it offered a soup (an extremely good lobster bisque the night we were there) and a fabulous shrimp dish. Chama Gaucha had neither. We celebrated our office holiday lunch at Chama Gaucha recently. This was a first time visit for me. Food was great, as was the service, and atmosphere. You must bring your appetite and be prepared to leave extremely full. Our group enjoyed tremendously. Check out time was a little slow, but overall experience was great! I hope to visit again soon.
I was very pleased with the quick seating upon arrival, I let them know ahead of time it was for a birthday and they did provide a amazing tres leches cake at the end of our meal. I am not a fan of meat so I didn't eat much salad bar was good thought their would be more selection but pleased with taste of what they had. Service was great I would've like to have a say so on sides but also were good. Overall if you love meat it's a great place worth your time if not a fan of meat this is not for you :)
