It took 3 times to get the job done right. From when the contract was signed and job officially complete was nearly 8 months. We did work with someone out of the Madison office who made billing adjustments for our inconvenience and broken blind.
No, because of the problems with the door. I was not explained how this door would be installed differently. Now I have a 2-3 inch step.
I think Champion windows are sound windows. The process to get the windows ordered was terrible. The manager completely dropped the ball and my order was late. An upsell opportunity that was identified by the person who did the final measuring and agreed upon by me never got installed.
First off, the door was installed 1 month later than the latest date we were promised. (5 to 8 weeks ended up being 12 weeks) Because I was home at the time of the installation, after the old door was removed, I noticed the sub-foor from a previous installation had water damage and was rotted. Before I noticed this, the installer was already placing the shims to align and square the door right over the rotted floor.
