Make sure you stay on top of what's going on and don't just leave your loved one there. Mine didn't have a bath schedule for quite a while when he first got there. Don't just take anything for granted. I think the people there really try to do what they're supposed to do. But for my dad, he feels trapped there because it's a secured community for people with dementia. So he's not as comfortable as I would like him to be. I would prefer that cleanliness be better, especially in his bathroom.

We've gone to a lot of different places, and Charter Senior Living is the first place I feel comfortable knowing that my loved one is being cared for. There have been no red flags, they've been wonderful to us and to my loved one. They have a really nice bistro and the dining looks good when we've shown up during mealtime. We had to place my mom in memory care during the pandemic. This was especially hard because we could not physically tour our list of potential facilities. We decided on Charter because, through the Zoom call, it appeared warm and caring, with fun activities for the residents. Once things eased up, we eventually got in and saw how lovely her new home was with the renovation. The dining service from what we have seen looks great, and so far our loved one has not complained. There are plenty of activities and opportunities for the residents to get involved. We do think the value for cost is good and the executive director is just fabulous.

Our family was able to have an in person tour, and our experience was good. We were only able to see half of the community because the other half was under renovations but the person who gave us the tour was extremely nice.

I like the friendliness and feeling of family here. The reason I ended up choosing Charter is I felt confident my loved one would be taken care of based on interactions I've had with the staff, including the director. In my conversations with the director, I felt we were aligned and had some of the same things going on in our lives. She made me feel assured and understood. We chose the facility because they were willing to work with me on the rent every month until his VA benefits kicked in and even adjusted their rate. It also provided everything that he needed.They were very communicative with his care and what he needed, so I do believe he was getting great care here. I was able to text them whenever with questions and I was always able to get a hold of somebody, even the director. Even after his passing they still reach out to check in on me. The staff is kind and helpful. They have good food. They provide good service to residents. It is a very clean place. The room sizes were good. They have an outdoor space for the residents. They offer outings and activities for the residents. It was above and beyond what I expected.

It is a nice facility. The staff is helpful. You need to stay in constant contact with the administration. It is hard to get information in a timely manner. Room sizes are nice.Mostly private rooms, very clean. Staff is very attentive. They have started Facetiming with the families. Management just changed.
