Just ate at the Chelsea 5 Gastropub at the Tropicana Chelsea in AC on Sat. evening which was only their second night opened. My wife and I can describe it in one word AWESOME ! From our wonderful server Fabio to the seating at the window looking out at the ocean to the delectable menu and drinks what a fabulous time we experienced here. I'm afraid if we keep raving we will have a hard time getting a reservation in the near future, but I had to write this review. My steak was very fatty. Did any even eat it? Service was extremely slow, and it wasn't busy, and it was a birthday, and they didn't even bring her a birthday candle, and after we're done, we sat there for about twenty minutes before we even got our dessert that we already ordered

I ordered the seafood combination. Flounder, shrimp and scallops. My wife ordered the rib eye. The rib eye was excellent bit the combo was not. The fish was very,very mushy. The shrimp was tough. And the scallops were rubbery.

I wish we could have tipped the food runner instead who had more personality. She gave us indifferent vibes while being the next tables best friend. And when we tried to ask the staff manager for assistance, we got the same apathy. In addition, being our anniversary, we let them know that and our preference to sit on the window with an oceanview. Our server was lovely but the ‘manager’ definitely had attitude. 4th July - holiday weekend with fireworks over the boardwalk at 10pm. Apparently the restaurant closes at 10 and we were still finishing up and still had drinks. These were tipped into a plastic cup as we were informed that the dishwasher wanted to go and I was told I could take my drink with me which I found quite odd! The !managers’ attitude and desire to get us out as soon as possible spoiled a lovely evening. Would not recommend or return

We were seated In the far corner behind the bar. Service was awful. Then all the food came out cold. Told the server she said she would get the manager. Waited 20 minutes manager never came. Left food there the entire time
