I went to dine with friends. The service was great. The food not so great. We had the special, the Red Snapper with the lobster sauce with sweet shrimp. The fish was extremely "FISHY", other than that the meal was OK. I also thought the fish could have been cooked more and seared more to give it the texture and taste I was looking for.. Overall I enjoyed the evening!!
I have been to Chocolat on a few occasion and this one was by far the best because it was for my birthday!!!! The reservations through OpenTable were easy as always and since it was for a pretty large party, they were definitely necessary. I liked the fact that Chocolat also called to confirm on the day of. This is the second time I have been to Chocolat. The first was for lunch and this time for dinner. On both occasions the food and service have been outstanding. This is really a gem in Harlem.

This was the second time a friend and I visited Chocolat. We had such a fun experience the first time that we figured it'd always be that much fun. Not so. The host (whom we later saw toward the kitchen, openly eating) sat me first, and at least ten minutes after my friend had joined me, we still had no menus. Very nice vibe, the scene is very laid back. Great for a first time date , romantic date or just a night out with friends. Affordable pricing. Staff were very pleasant as well. Nice local spot in the heart of Harlem.
Went to the restaurant for a friend's birthday. The place was not crowded, which was good and we were in time for happy hour, but we did not have a clear list of what drinks were and were not included. I took my daughter and the place is not really kid firendly, but she was able to order a turkey burger that she like (even though she said it was a little burned). The restaurant is very nice, well lit, with a stocked bar. The food was excellent, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The appetizer I shared was the Grilled Peaches and arugula salad with walnuts in a vinaigrette dressing w/blue cheese crumble. I wish I hadn't agreed to share.
