This is a steakhouse. They charge a fortune for a steak. Mine came underdone the first time and overdone the second time. If you are an expensive steakhouse you need to know how to cook steaks properly. Pink all the way through. Not raw in the middle and burned on the outside. They did not know how to do that. Epic failure.
I’ve been eating at Churchill’s for years and it’s always been an exceptional experience. Last night, not so much. Inattentive waitress, one steak had to be sent back due to being severely overcooked. I found that the overall quality of the food has taken a step back since Anthony’s took over. I was kind of disappointed that I paid over $500 for a subpar experience. Do better.

Churchill's is certainly the quintessential steak house, so for a special event with a special ambiance, a good place to go. For value, not so much. Even though the prime meat is good, does it make sense spending $500+ for cocktails (~$75), a shared appetizer (~$25), two steak/mashed/snap-bean entrees (~$200), a bottle of wine (~$130) and a shared desert (~$25) + tip, when you can do something really comparable at home for less than $100? Shrimp bad. Food poisoning. We were sick the next several days. Steaks were good however. Severer very kind.
I didn’t like that they allowed a standard poodle to dine under two people’s table. Ask the manager and he said “my notes state it’s a service dog”. Well it looked like a show dog groomed and lacking any sort of vest or badging claiming it was a service dog.
The food was really expensive. All of us were unable to eat because it was so salty. We left all food on table and sever didn’t ask if it was okay. It’s surprising that they don’t even ask about the quality of the food. I’ve eaten there before and was underwhelmed. This time I know I will never go there again. It was just really terrible. Potatoes ai Gratin overdone as well as the loaded baked potato. Food just does not meet the previous owner’s standards!! Not going back.
The service was poor. Main course arrived prior to our appetizer . The scallops were quite gritty and crab cakes were quite unimpressive. Clearly not worth the money I paid for the meal.
