Not worth it. Highly disappointed! Service was great, but food was ok. Won't eat there again.
I took my wife to Churchill's for her birthday. I ordered the cowboy steak, all steaks are supposedly "Prime cuts". It was so tough that it was difficult to cut with a steak knife and had to chew for a while to chew it up. I ordered medium rare and it was medium plus some. The garlic mashed potatoes should have had real garlic sauteed and have flavor, but they really had no garlic flavor or any flavor and were whipped to death. First they brougut a nearly 100 dollar steak that was purple and bloody. Our waiter asked us to cut into it to “see if it was cooked medium”. We did. So we asked just a little more cooked. Twenty minutes later brought back a charcoal looking badly burned steak. When I objected, a woman manager said “That is how we cook them”. Never going back.
I usually get over wordy in writing. Unremarkable !
Our ribeye was very tough with grizzle. The stuffed potato was bland. Not what one would expect for the super high prices.
Food was so overpriced. Ambiance of an upscale sharris and a nursing home.
I usually brag about Churchill’s, but this time I was a little disappointed. I came for a birthday dinner and everything was normal, but the steaks this time were very salty. Nothing to taste on the filet or ribeye other than the salt. I hate to say it, but it wasn’t worth the trip this time and we will look at other places for the next dinner.
First, the atmosphere is really nice & quiet. very classy. However, the waiter seemed condescending and unhelpful especially about the wine choice. The Filet was way underdone the 1st time they brought it out rare +, not even medium rare unlike the Medium well that I ordered. Then upon returning the the 2nd time the steak was way overcooked, almost charcoal. I accepted it because time was running short and didn't have time for a complete redo. The prices seemed about 30% higher than other comparable places in town like Spenc... read more
