Ordered a top sirloin( Churchills signature steak) was tough as shoe leather,garlic mashed potatoes ( amounted to 4 bites) and seasonal veggies(I counted 7 pea pods), my date had the shrimp (4) and rice ( a fair amount) and we split a dessert, also had 2 mixed drinks and a glass of wine. I ordered a filet mignon cooked medium rare. It came out with burned on the outside-literally had carbon on it and it smelled burned too. It was terribly disappointing considering how expensive it was. We went to this restaurant because it was close to our hotel and close to downtown. I have eaten at waaaaay better steak houses in Spokane. I won't go back:(
Service incredibly slow. 2 of 4 steaks had to be returned due to excessive salt that made them inedible. Way overpriced.
The food is amazing and the server was as attentive as he could be considering he was the only server for 6 or so tables. When you spend what we did, you expect a leisurely meal, but not being neglected for long periods of time when water is not filled, drinks are not replenished etc.
Our server (Derek), while friendly and courteous was very inexperienced and not trained in several of the very basis skills (decanting, table space management, pouring wine and keeping glasses at appropriate level, remembering to bring the bread, etc.) you would expect when you're paying the price Churchill's charges. priced are fine when the service and product are at a compatible level. food was good, but not exceptional - one steak under-done and one steak with excessive fat content.
The food was some of the best I have ever had, given I've traveled quite extensively nationally and globally. However, at the end of our dining experience, we were asked to leave, because someone else was waiting for a table. This came just 20 minutes after finishing our dessert and paying the check. I've never been so disrespected after a $290 tab and will not be returning.
Steak could have been more tender. Server wasn't very knowledgeable especially when it came to the cocktails. Not a great value but fun for special occasions.
My husband did not get the type of steak he ordered. Food was way overpriced and wine pour was very skimpy for the price.
Food had great flavor but my $50 steak came out undercooked and was taken back and brought out over-cooked. For the price, it should have been cooked properly.
