I'm somewhat of a gym snob. Since I spend so much of my time there, I want a gym that's clean, has the equipment I need for a good workout, not busy, and has a knowledgable and friendly staff. I chose to try Chuze, and it was a good choice! It's hardly ever busy, I always see staff cleaning, and it's a non-judgemental environment, which makes it easy to workout! I have to say I'm very pleased with Chuze! I've had memberships at bigger chains and never wanted to go because of the members only going there just to be seen. I have never gotten that feeling at Chuze. The staff is always very nice. They say hi and bye to everyone. The gym is kept so clean too! The classes are really good. I frequent Ashley's Zumba on Tuesday and Thursday nights and have been to yoga on Saturday morning's and all have been great. I had never had a gym membership before until I saw that they were putting this new gym into the shopping center and Grant and Swan where an old KB Homes showroom was right by my house. I was skeptical at first because they were advertising "$9.99 a month!" out front during construction for weeks. A few weeks after they were open I decided to stop in one day and check the place out. One of the better commercial gyms I've ever been to. The membership isn't absurd and you get what you pay for. The place is a little crowded and can be a hassle to workout at certain times. Only problem would be the lack of rule enforcement and how drastically different each Chuze is. I swear some of the workers pick on the same people day in and day out for rules that don't seem to be applied to everyone equally. There is one employee who consistently has been targeting me as a colored individual for the past week of being at the gym. I don't feel happy considering how much money I have given this place over the years. Targeting an individual due to their skin tone when there has been several other people in the building doing the same thing this employee was complaining about. O M G this location stays in my rotation. Chuze Fitness on Grant is probably my fave out here. Not gonna lie Arizona locations don't have ALL the bells and whistles like California... you kinda gotta bounce around to get everything which is a little annoying.. BUT for what it is... Overall Chuze is okay in facilities (else it would receive 1 star), but rates low for me for 3 reasons (#1 could be overlooked, but not 2 and 3): 1. While getting dressed in the men's locker room, picture were being taken by someone (client? no idea). Not cool, needed action. 2. During Covid, the local facilities were not kept clean. 3. With no other contact, I am receiving collection agency calls about my Chuze account being in arrears. I stopped going to Chuze in 2021 (SEE #1!) No phone call. No email. Went to check it out one day and they raised the price the next day. When I explained this to the person at front desk, he said sometimes that is how it goes. I did NOT purchase a memebership!

I rarely go anymore because of the condition the jacuzzi is in every time its been either not working and/or extremely dirty as it was this time.. These also still have not done anything about shoes in the Sauna / Steam Room . What happens is customers Work out Do not shower and go straight into the steam room. With their nasty BO and shoes still on . No one ever showers before entering the stream room and theres always someone in their with their sneakers on its extremely gross .
