This place is a fabulous dining experience. We sat at the bar and were taken care of by Mike, who has every quality you want in an employee in an upscale eatery. His wine suggestions were spot on and he's just a cool guy. For our meal, we had fried okra as an appetizer. My boyfriend is a northerner who has never eaten okra and he loved it! Quick afternoon bite - this location is beautiful on the inside and good service. We always it at the bar - great drinks. Today we ordered an app to share - pimento cheese fritters! Crunchy outside - warm creamy inside ! Stop by - it's worth the stop !!!

First time at Citizen Soul and really enjoyed it. Sat outside, shady and cool. Nice bar and some interesting food choices. I had the hanger steak and it was very good over cauliflower. Pimento cheese fritters also really tasty although I would've like a more savory/spicy dipping sauce than the jam it came with. Enjoyed the roasted Brussels sprouts, as well. My wife had the Mediterranean salad sans tuna (vegetarian) which she really liked. See y'all again soon.

My wife had the salmon, I had the shrimp. We both loved the our dinner. The fish was cooked perfectly with a crisp crust and moist interior. The grits were a rich and flavorful base. My shrimp had a wonderful mix of flavors from the lite coconut curry, the bite of the jalapeños and the crisp of the fried wonton wrapper. We made a reservation (6)and we were greeted and seated immediately upon arrival. The service was impeccable our waitress was very attentive. The food was very good and came out pretty fast. The drinks were very strong but very tasty. I had their pear drink it was good. I had the empanadas for an app they were so good. My entree was the duck platter. Service, ambiance, and location are all excellent. What I didnt enjoy was the food. This is strictly a personal opinion. I ordered the bacon for the appetizer, and the burger for dinner. Both meals tasted bland, uninspired, and soulless. In fact, the entire menu is basic American food. The bacon came out as a chuck of bacon, lots of fat, yikes. The burger was one gigantic "meh." Not enough good things to say!! My mom and I discovered this place a month ago and we've already been back again since. Our server was also the bartender, Adrian, and his service is phenomenal every time! Adrian tends to his customers and makes excellent recommendations.
