The Devonshire is a nice place. The people are nice and they've been really good to me. I have a bedroom/living room, a full bathroom & full kitchen. They allow pets here too. They have activities, like bingo and things like that. For the people who like that sort of thing, it's really nice. They also offer transportation about 2-3 times a month to appointments & stores.
I am pleased with the activities provided, they do a great job of coming around and getting him to go to things. He is a very critical eater and great cook himself and he loves the food that is served. The care from the Devonshire staff is a 5 and they are great people, but the medical doctor is not good. It took him 3 weeks to get around to seeing him and his care needs are still not being addressed. A big issue I have is my father always gets his medications from the VA and they made that note. Depending on your financial circumstances, I would recommend depending on what your family member or loved one needed. This is a better environment for my loved one. The food is inconsistent. The weekdays seem fine but during the weekends she said the choices aren't great. Breakfast is fine, she is not a fan of lunch and dinner. Food seems to be the biggest issue. Pricey
So far so good. My loved one is still waiting on the room that she wants that has a kitchenette in it. I would just tell others to ask a lot of questions up front, the little things you don't normally think about like the internet, who will help during move in, etc. Overall I would recommend to others looking.
We chose The Devonshire because of the location as well as they had immediate availability at the time. They also offered good incentives on rent and they had a lot of big selling points even some of them were not completely followed through on. We did have some issues with them coming in to clean the room like they said they would. He is in a studio apartment which works fine for what he needs. Overall, I would recommend to others looking.
We chose The Devonshire because I really liked the atmosphere. The room sizes here are perfect for what my loved one needs. The facility is very secure and I would recommend to others who are looking. I would absolutely love to live here myself.
A lot has changed due to covid, but they are doing a great job given the circumstances. The staff members are very attentive, they are always there to help and encourage the residents to ask for help when needed. They do not want them to struggle for asking for help. The staff are wonderful, we could not ask for a better experience. Our loved there is absolutely thriving.
The community is clean and friendly. They have a bus service and washers and dryiers. The communication is good between the staff and the family and they keep us well informed. I would recommend this community to others
