I know my bad review won't hurt this law firm but it might save another person the hassle of dealing with them. I have read other reviews and there seems to be a lot of common complaints. The biggest being the fact that they do absolutely nothing to try and settle your case. They drag it out as long as they can so they can milk you for more money. The initial consultation went very well and I put my money down as a retainer as we got further into this it was supposed to be a very simple divorce and now it's complicated as all get out I haven't even made it to mediation yet and he's already billing me for another three grand good luck with these people I'll never come back to him I think the whole lot of them should be disbarred I did ask the firm for another lawyer cuz I didn't get along with mine very well and I got nothing from them what they did was tell my lawyer ... read more

I really thought that I was hiring a law firm that was really for men. All I got was a cookie cutter, click and paste, the outcome was clearly predetermined to benefit the wife as always law firm. Overpriced and will bill you for reading emails, texts and can't offer a great opinion on any thing. Sadly the outcome would have been the same with a dime store lawyer.

I went into my divorce looking to get two things, one was joint custody, two was to keep my 401k intact. And this is w/o saying my other personal belongings also. After 18 long months and around 50-60k later I did get just that, joint custody and I got to keep my 401k. Everything else I lost including a lot of my personal belongings. I went with cordell and cordell the Independence ohio location because I wanted my child support deviation to stay in place. I explained what I wanted and the attorney Oliver said it's doable and we have a good shot at getting what I want. I also talked price and they explained there fees and he even gave me a ballpark number of what it would cost being it's not am extremely complicated situation. The worst experience of my life so far. This local chain did not know the procedures for my case and cost me thousands of dollars. Do yourself a favor and go with a local attorney who knows the judges and opposing attorneys. You will be way better off in the end. Had to pay another attorney to clean up this mess. Avoid Cordell at all costs. Don't let the low retainer fool you.....you will pay! They don't have your best interests in mind.

Absolutely waste of money. These people are crooks. Called them to assist with divorce proceedings. They told me I needed to deposit $1800 as a retainer. A few days later, they told me I needed to deposit another $1200. After I realized how expensive they were, I told them to just stop and not to charge me for anything else. After paying them $3,000, I was refunded $350 after they did absolutely nothing, except listen to me explain why I was seeking divorce. No action was ever taken. Total crooks.

Cordell and cordell are in my opinion nothing but money hunting corporate hacks that prey on men, the representation I got was laughable at least on my wife's side. I read through all my case notes and the only info about anything was discussed tactics with supervising attorney not notes on what was discussed Just that it was discussed, when I asked about this got the old run around nobody could tell me what was discussed.
