In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. RecommendedThe staff was amazing, friendly, helpful and the food was great. Large portions, you'll be taking home left overs. I recommend the chicken club. A very busy diner which is a good thing. If the locals come then it means this a hot spot for food choices. 10+
Another great experience for dinner, well breakfast for dinner. I have been fighting a huge headache all day and I didn't want to make dinner. The kids wanted pizza...again. I vetoed, but everyone was happy to go visit Black Bear Diner in Puyallyp and see our favorite, Arnett-Ann. She always makes sure everything is perfect. Thanks for another great meal.
Love it!! Huge portions. Great Service
Dined here for the first time yesterday and was not disappointed. Hostess rushed to open the door for us. The soup was very good, my streak was prefect, cooked just the way I wanted and seasoned so as to not need streak sauce. Potato was baked just right and the fries were delicious. I will be back.

Gresham Toastmasters meets at Black Bear Diner every Wednesday morning at 6:30 am. Penny is our server each week. We are a lucky group! - she is delightful, always a smile on her face, ready to serve and she makes a positive difference in our day! Thank you Penny!
Best meal I’ve had in a long time! The mashed potatoes were delicious and those corn muffins!!!! Delicious!!!! Thank you for awesome service as well!
