In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. At the Manteca location and just found out they discontinued the incredible potato chips??!! Please explain?! Is this happening at every location or just this one??!! Beyond that, we love the food, and the menu is great.

I had to get a oil change and I hate waiting at the dealer. I knew spending some time at Black Bear Dinner would be comfy, yummy and the staff are accommodating to my needs. I've never had a bad experience at any of the Black Bear dinners!

Mike is the best server, he’s always so good to us. Chocolate pie is my favorite! Come in and try the chicken fried steak!!
