In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Nick at the North Boise Location is the best manager I have ever seen . If he isn’t a manager he deserves a raise . He is r favorite waiter !!!!
On our visit, food quality was excellent. Service (intial table visit by server and food delivery time) was somewhat delayed, but, to be fair, they were quite busy. Staff was friendly and polite and, even though it was a peak service time, took the time to check on us during our meal. Had a considerable wait to be seated, but for the value received, it was worth it.
