In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Wonderful service in St .Charles. Thank you Raven . The portions were fantastic and the pot roast crumbled at the touch of the fork . Did I mention the delicious homemade bacon ranch salad dressing , or the blackberry cobbler that I got for later ? Best restaurant trip in a while!

we had a great experience here. this place has not been open long and they are still working out the kinks, but we had a great waitress, Penny, and the food was great too.

This was my first time at Black Bear Diner. It just recently opened up in Independence. The staff was very friendly and provided great service. I ordered the Bear's Choice breakfast with a sweet cream waffle. Fluffiest waffle I'm ever had. It was delicious! The portions were perfect for me. The coffee was hot and fresh. Overall, a very pleasant experience, so I'll definitely be back!
