In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. RecommendedToday was our first time going there. We’ll definitely be going back! Great look, pies reasonable price, food was great! Manager not to friendly. She only seen to the regular customers. Didn’t stop by each table like a good manager would do.

We really like this restaurant and have been to all 3 in town. Kind of bugged that they're no longer playing the "oldies" over the speakers. That in itself took away the ambiance and the special feeling of the place. On another note I miss the Garden Burgers as the Beyond Burger is gross and full of junk. How about offering gluten free cornbread, biscuits and pancakes?
