In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. RecommendedSo after talking with the GM, we went back today and it was a total redemption from the first two times we’ve been there food came out hot service was great and tasty
All of the above, and much more. After moving out of California, other than family & friends, Black Bear Diner is one of the few things that I miss!!!!!!! Their food is awesome, service is good, and employees are always friendly.
The Mikey's Chicken Pot Pie was absolutely delicious & wonderful, my sister had the salmon & loved it, my dad had the country fried steak & he said it was delicious! The iced tea was delicious too! Hailey was courteous, friendly & very helpful! We absolutely love going to this Black Bear Diner in Chino!

I'm gonna have to try again. ordered the CFS breakfast. A few minutes after I ordered, I noticed it came with a homemade biscuit so I wanted to change to toast. Great tasting food, large servings and reasonable prices, but the best thing was Sean our server in Santa Maria, Can. He was the Best!
We absolutely love going to the one in St. Charles and ordering our favorites. The food portions are beyond expectations and we have yet to be disappointed. We ALWAYS ask for Nick H!!! He knows exactly what we need and want before we do. Never an empty glass with Nick around. Very attentive but not over baring.
Amazing food and service. Our server Brenda was great!! Highly recommend this place. We will be back for sure! (Amazing decor as well) We loved it!!
Today was our first time going there. We’ll definitely be going back! Great look, pies reasonable price, food was great! Manager not to friendly. She only seen to the regular customers. Didn’t stop by each table like a good manager would do.
