In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. God bless the people who work here.. especially the manager Monica. last night i had a blow out and was stuck up there from 3 pm until 9 pm tryna get someone to help me out and i couldn’t find anyone. A very kind man and the manager came and helped me change out my entire tire, rim and all. even gave us a free meal after being stuck up there..

Really love this place. Food is amazing and the portions are great. Super disappointed with today’s service though. Waited an hour when we were told 30-40 minutes and when answered “no” to our sever asking “Do you need a few more minutes?” She said “okay” and walked away. I understand how busy things can get, but a little communication goes a long way.
