Very disappointed. We were there today at the hummelstown location. They had a nice selection of carpeting. We were the only customers there at the time. I haven’t purchased carpet in 20 plus years. The sales rep just kept going back to her desk. And when we had questions or wanted to know prices we had to go get her. She was apparently more of an order taker than a sales rep. If anyone is looking to get work done on their house I recommend going with anyone but The Home Depot. I know it’s not directly their fault but the people they contract though but they basically stole $300 from us. We had someone come out to do measurements and an estimate done. Well we scheduled an appointment to have them come out to do the floors, the first guy came out and told us we had to also replace our subfloors. Fine cool whatever. Beware of shady business practices. Couch Potato was highly recommended to me by my realtor. I went there and asked for the cheapest carpet they had. I was shown 2 samples and picked one. I had them come and measure and was given a written estimate. I went to Couch Potato with checkbook in hand to finalize the job. When I got there I was told there was a mistake on the estimate and it would be an additional 700$. They would not honor the original estimate. IMPORTANT! I wish I had better things to say because for the most part, everything was done well. I am happy with my flooring but I am not pleased with the outcome of the botched trim work the contractors and some of the work Couch Potato tried to repair. I recommend asking for references of the contractors they send out. I also recommend you get everything discussed with anyone from this company in writing.
