Visited Cracker Barrel in Walterboro, SC on Sat. Aug. 15, 2026 approximately 4:30 PM with my wife and 2 close friends. I ordered the Campfire Chicken Dinner. We were served at approximately 4:50 PM. I have tried to attach a picture but am not able to but it was burnt beyond recognition. I'm 79 years old and have eated at Cracker Barrel many many times but this visit was my last. I made an online purchase June 11, 2026. The money was taken out of my account on 6/17/26. June 26th I tried to reach customer service to figure out if the order had shipped because online it said "completed". The response I received was "I've checked the order status, and it's showing as complete. I suggest you wait for the email with your tracking information." An email NEVER came. I went and got a to go order. I got the Monday special chicken and rice. The chicken was hard and undercooked and the rice was hard. I contacted Cracker Barrel about my experience and my wasted money and they sent me an email claiming I would get a compensation card for up to $6. It ended up being for a free dessert that also has an expiration date … They should have been compensating for the bad entree I had because I did not waste my money on a bad unedible dessert I wasted it on a meal.
We visited the Harrisonburg va location on July 4th 2026 at 4:30pm and the hostess was very nasty and rude when we asked if we could have the round table closest to the door due to my father being disabled and using a walker and not able to walk far at all and was told that’s for in case a larger party’s comes in the discriminated against my father being disabled and kept him from having that table that would have fit him and his walker better because they were more worried about a larger party coming in. Overall, my family's experience at this location was horrible. After waiting 45 minutes to be seated (which is usual for a larger party), we placed our order pretty quickly as we desired the standard pancake platter. We received our food an little after an hour of ordering. Upon questioning our server multiple times, she demonstrated frustration and attitude instead of proper customer service. I received a gift card for $50. When attempting to redeem it the redemption number on the back was entirely scratched off and not visible. I received nothing for my gift card and contacted customer support. I received an email stating they would send me a replacement card. This never happened. I am unable to contact anyone at cracker barrel as there is no way to communicate with a live person. If I could leave a worse review I would. Avoid like the plague. They have not changed their new woke ways. They just stopped the woke trash and new sign but are the same trashy company at heart. Very uncomfortable place to eat. You’re rushed to order . The hamburger was under cooked and sick for hours . A miserable place to eat a dinner !
