Wow The chicken fried steak knocked my socks off. The best I've had in a long time, maybe ever. Plus they give you so much food!!
Heard much about it and finally had an opportunity to visit! The food was great and it was a blast seeing some of my ole time candy favs! I live in Alaska but whenever I'm in the lower 48 I'll search out a Cracker Barrel!!!
step back in time This is a Old Country style restaurant with old time store in front. It was busy but the wait (only15 min) went fast because we looked throughout the store of old time candies, toys and other items. The food was great and Terry (our server) was very attentive. Good size portions with reasonable prices. Also, easy on-off from I85.
These are all the same They all have good food. I like the vegetable soup in particular I just think the prices are too high for the type of food.
Aunt Mary's Pancakes OK...best pancakes anywhere...and I have eaten around the world! Their pancakes remind me of my childhood visiting my Aunt Mary in Upstate New York on her dairy farm. Brings back fond memories every time!
Cracker Barrel We went to one in Simpsonville, and it was storming outside really bad. We were coming back from charleston and just needed a place to eat really quick. The generators came on just in the nick of time because the power went out. They got our food to us super fast so we could be on our way and out...
Typical touristy gift shop Cracker Barrel is usually consistent all over the country. I don't know how they accomplish this. Have never had a bad experience other than having to wait a half hour sometimes. The food is always decent, and portions quite adequate, with moderate prices. Service is usually good, and the atmosphere is fun.
Always a favorite Cracker Barrel is consistently yummy and a good value. It's kid-friendly, and they are efficient with their service. This one is far from my house, so I don't go often, but it's a great choice.
Always a sure thing Cracker Barrel is always a safe bet, we come here when there is nothing at home to cook, or we just don't feel like messing with it. Service is always great at this location, and the food is always as expected. Traveling or live around the Gville area, this is a great stop.
