Order was correct and food was, overall, delicious. They lost points for lukewarm food and blueberries in the buttermilk pancakes. There were just a few, but what if she'd been allergic? But it was still SO GOOD and was delivered in a timely manner. Good amount too. I like that the eggs & sausage are in a separate container from the pancakes because I don't like syrup on my eggs. l found their gravy and vegetables were under seasoned. They need to use salt and pepper.
All food was cold upon arrival, the entrees were fine. A problem was with the veggies. One order was supposed to have 2 dumplings. I received 1 order of dumplings and one order of potatoes. The potatoes of both orders were congealed. You could pick them up as one block with a fork - definitely waiting in the kitchen for a while until some misguided person receives them - ordered or not. The steak had grissle running through it. On the up side, the roast beef was fine other than being cold.
Fried okra and apple streusel pie were delicious. Surprised that chicken pot pie was not very good as Cracker Barrel food is usually very good.
Other than the excessive use of pepper in the dumplings and meatloaf, the food we received was okay. Unfortunately, once again an item was left off the plate. I paid extra for broccoli casserole and did not get it. It seems that whoever was putting the plate together should have been able to look at the plate and see that only one side was included. Leaving out an item is becoming a frequent occurrence. I am so sorry that one of my formerly favorite restaurants is no longer reliable.
The Stuffed Cheesecake Pancake Breakfast were amazing.
Every time my wife and I order burgers and select well done on the patty they are always pink inside. We aren't fans of eating pink hamburger meat, but for some reason the cooks never fully cook the burger regardless of the well-done choice. So disappointing when you have to disassemble your burger and microwave it every time before you can eat it. The fries portion is small each time as well. Ir was a shock to get chicken and dumplings with my steak instead of just dumplings. The chicken version had a great deal more pepper than the plain ones do.
Mostly delicious. Hash brown casserole was disappointing.
