I am very sad to say that we did not have good luck with Cross Creek Hospital. My son who is 18 and special needs need a place to go and this was one of the few that would take someone that was intellectually disabled. When we first arrived to the hospital the admissions ladies had been very nice and made sure that my son signed the forms that he needed to sign so that the Drs and or staff would talk to me. I was told that they would be contacting me to go over all medication changes. Two days went by and I had heard nothing... read more

Do not take your worst enemy to this facilities. When I first walked in I felt something was wrong, but my son always say I'm too picky. So I decided to look pass what I was feeling and focus on my child's needs. This counselor was awful. She did not have any compassion when she was speaking with my son, The counselor never smiled. Threaten to put him in their facilities because he did not want to talk with her cause she was being very nasty. They did not answer questions I was asking; going around the truth. Lied abo... read more

BEWARE! Cross Creek has proven to be grossly understaffed, poorly run, dishonest in both approach and in action, and truly incapable of providing any real help to those in need. This is truly a case of butts in beds business and should be shuttered. If all your friend, you, or your loved one needs is a pair of eyes on them to be sure they are not committing self harm, then perhaps this would suffice, but that is all one can expect from this facility. A close friend was admitted here and the experience has been more traumat... read more

We had our son admitted here for observation and adjustment(increase) of his meds. Instead of the increase he was given a lower dose than what he was originally taking and had an anger outburst causing him to put his fist through the window of a door and throw a heavy chair in the dining room. When I asked about the decrease in meds the therapist tried to say his physicians office sent them the incorrect dosage-That's right...blame someone else!!! Not taking responsibility for your actions is exactly what they said my son wa... read more

I was told my family member will be ready by 4:30 pm. I gave them 30 additional minutes. 5pm. Not ready. 5:30pm not ready. I was told 4:30 and is 5:45pm, they keep telling me she is in her way. Is this a reflection of the quality of services provided to the patients? That is what my family member said. I did called today in the morning looking for status. I was told I will be called right bacl. Nobody did. I called David Myatt, LCSW - Director of Clinical Services. Never called back. 6pm. The original inventory list signed ... read more

This place was not helpful at all. I didn't see a doctor or counselor until I was being discharged on the 3rd day of my stay.

My experience for a 5-day acute stay for my son was completely unprofessional and border-line incompetent in the areas of communication, planning and discharge. I was referred to this hospital from Breckenridge Psych ER and know that options are often limited in these instances. That said, if there are options, I'd avoid this hospital, at least for adolescent care from my experience. If you have to go there, be prepared to advocate early and often to force the proper planning and communication from the staff at this hospital... read more

We took our suicidal child there that was having a meltdown. He is also autistic; They lost the suicide note, just upped his drugs and changed 2. We specifically asked for help with possible LTRC facility, which they promised they would assist with, I had to find a place and it took the Dr. Rao and his team longer than we had to get the paper work over to the facility. I hope NO ONE in real need takes their loved one here. This place was a total joke and didn't care about helping our child just sedating him. Completely disgu... read more

Cross Creek hospital is not the facility to take a love one too. My son was admitted last week and did not stay 24 hours due to feeling unsafe and hungry. He would not even take a bath at the facility. The staff promised that he would meet with a physician the next morning but that did not happen. A quoted price of the stay before admission was given which was several hundreds lower than the bill that was received. If your love one really needs help this is not the place.
