horrible unhealthy non theraputec environment. Dried crusty urine on commode. Bathroom sink out of order for 5 days my room mate and I used the shower to brush our teeth. The cockroaches you could ride, horrible filthy. I was there for homicidal ideation and was able to take may angst out on stomping on the roaches.Major depression, and detox The dinning room is atrocious, filthy disgusting was told we. couldn't clean our own table and was forced to eat in someone else's filth. We ignored the wonderful staff; My room was f... read more
If I knew how bad it was going to be, I would have just killed myself. I requested to leave multiple times, and was basically told "stay here voluntarily or we'll get a court order to keep you here" (illegal as fuck since I was there 100% voluntarily) There's a schedule for therapy and group activities posted on the wall that wasn't followed AT ALL. Some days there would be no group therapy. We were rarely allowed outside. The staff were unhelpful and disrespectful I sometimes missed my medication because I'd get ignored wh... read more
I wish zero stars was an option. I was locked in here for 31 days a few years ago. 31 days. It was one of the worst experiences of my life, and I have extreme complex PTSD from physical, verbal childhood abuse, sexual trauma, and multiple episodes of psychosis and other terrifying hospitalization experiences. I have Bipolar type 1 with psychotic features. I was in manic psychosis when admitted. I acknowledge the need for me to be hospitalized for my own safety at the time. But Cross Creek was terrifying. Fucking terrifying. ... read more
I'm not really sure about this place. My mom had to go in, and she's 86. When we admitted her we were told we could call to check on her, and talk to her. But, once in that was not the case. We knew we weren't allowed to see her, which I understood. I waited a few days before I started calling to check on my mom. I kept leaving messages, but didn't get a returned phone call ever! Finally, my mom called me and begged me to come get her. My mom has hallucinations, so I didn't know if I could believe my mom or not, but mom told... read more
This fucking place is literally not even benefiting peoples health. Most of the staff are careless and rude. You wanna tell me that ain't true then call me but I was not satisfied while being there. One of the staff says that this place ain't a hotel well nah shit but you can still at least provide god damn paper towels and toilet paper when we need. Getting woken up bright and early by someone rudely coming in the room waking up everyone just to take vitals. That can be done when everyone is up at a time that suits them so ... read more
The chicken was raw I was in the adolescent unit the girls side and the night staff said I was faking my tics because they weren't in my records and there was a code yellow the night before I discharged and they started yelling at the other patients and patients were yelling and crying and my roommate was in isolation and I was freaking out and they told me to stop being triggered like I can control it
I had a bad year and got severely drunk at home by myself and fuzzily took a bunch of Benadryl. (I know) However, woke up in the hospital not knowing anything about anything and had an interview with a social worker at the hospital (st David's s austin) while I was still completely out of it. I remember I told him I was in there for pancreatitis because I didn't know why. He was a complete asshole and told me to stop lying because he couldn't help me if I continued. I truly believe he was biased against suicidal people. And s... read more
This place wasn't great, wasn't absolute horrible though, my main issue was the lack of techs, they are very low staff so they aren't able to properly give care to the patients as intensively as they should. I came out one night at 2am because I needed meds and there was not a single tech in sight for at least 45 minutes, and the doors were locked so i couldn't have even gotten to the nurses station if I wanted to. They don't check on you at night.
So it's been 24 hours and I'm already looking for a lawyer to sue the crap out of these people. Also I am going to have to make state licensing board reports and complaints about the nurses and the pharmaceutical people up there. My son is a quadriplegic and they have taken all his meds away and stuck him in a wheelchair after 2 1/2 years of extremely hard work to get him to where he can at least stand up and support himself and they are refusing to give him the medication that his doctors have been prescribing for him for 2... read more
