Dr. Salazar performed elbow surgery, removing pins and plates from a previous surgery by a different surgeon that were causing limited movement and lots of pain. He was also able to reposition a nerve that was causing problems. 2 months later I have almost full range of motion, no pain, and continue to improve with my assigned physical therapy.

Dr. Salazar did surgery on my rotator cuff shoulder. What I like most about Dr. Salazar that he was honest and very straightforward. Also, he took his time to explain to me all that was wrong with my shoulder. After my surgery, I went back to work after three months feeling 110%. In addition, he always stayed in contact with me to see how my healing process was going. But what really stood out was that on the day of my surgery, he prayed to the lord with me, and that truly felt like a blessing and meant a lot to me. Thank yo... read more

I have seen Dr. Salazar for several years for different problems. He was able to help me each time. He listens very closely to what your symptoms are so he can make an informed assessment of what the problem may be. He runs all needed tests to get to the right diagnosis. His bedside manner is impeccable. He has never been rude to me or rushed my visit. He is very attentive. He shows a genuine concern and willingness to help solve your problems. I have relied on him for both shoulder surgeries. I would definitely recommend hi... read more

Surgery results are better than I ever expected. Before surgery I understood my problem and what my surgery would involve. Dr. Salazar and his staff answered every question I asked before and after surgery. I felt each of them was part of my team. Recovery was quick with no pain. Three months out, no one would have known I had reverse shoulder surgery. I am four months out now and expect more results in the months ahead. I looked a long time for Dr. Salazar and feel I won the lottery!

I was a young athlete who was forwarded to Dr. Salazar from my Sports medicine doctor. Dr. Salazar was always in great spirits and always very professional and straight to the point which made everything easy to understand. I had shoulder stabilization surgery that he performed and I was pain free and about 98% back to range of motion 12 months post-op.

I had a spiral fracture of the upper humerus, and the CT scan showed a lot of arthritis in the shoulder. Dr. Salazar repaired the break and did a total reverse shoulder replacement. It's one year after the surgery and I have no pain and excellent range of motion. I'm extremely pleased with the outcome. Dr. Salazar takes the time to explain the problem and what the surgery will entail in clear, understandable language.

After struggling to cope with left shoulder pain and limited mobility, I was lucky to have my family physician suggest Dr. Salazar for consultation. From our first meeting I felt comfortable. He charted a plan, had me do the required pretests, and I was scheduled for surgery soon thereafter at Loyola Medical Center, Maywood, IL. I am now some 7 weeks post surgery and I am pain free. Dr Salazar is upbeat, thorough, kind and considerate. If you are looking for a great medical team, make an appointment to visit and explore your... read more

Dr. Salazar was very informative about what the surgery would entail, the recovery afterwards and steps to follow for a full recovery. He was very professional but took time to know the patient, did excellent follow up and had a team of highly professionals working with him. I would recommend him 100%.
