In Nov 2023, I fractured and dislocated my elbow in a car accident in FL, requiring surgery and a metal plate. After returning to IL, I was referred to Dr. Salazar, who impressed me with his professionalism, kindness, and humility. I was concerned about long-term complications, including stiffness and limited range of motion. Dr. Salazar took time to explain his plan to improve my mobility and questioned the approach taken in Florida, making me feel more confident in his expertise. After months of therapy, I hit a plateau by... read more
I am a 56 year-old female that had a full tear in my rotator cuff. Dr. Salazar was recommended to me by a friend who had rotator cuff surgery with excellent results. The thought of surgery was a bit overwhelming to me, but after having an office visit with Dr. Salazar and going over my options and potential outcomes, I felt extremely comfortable to go ahead with the surgery. My surgery was in September 2024 and It has been about six months since surgery. The outcome of the surgery that Dr. Salazar performed is nothing but ex... read more
What I liked about my first visit with Dr. Salazar was that he listens to you and Takes the time out to explain things and was always willing to answer questions.

I recently had a fall with devastating consequences. My journey to recovery: facilitated by the most remarkable, skilled & experienced team of specialists, neurologists & medical support staff. The most critical aspect of my recovery involved surgery. I highly recommend Loyola orthopaedic surgeon & former Air Force flight surgeon, Dr. Dane Salazar, who performed a reverse total shoulder arthroplasty. He was recommended as the most competent & experienced surgeon to evaluate my injuries & develop the precise surgical plan tha... read more
After having cortisone injections and therapy without relief, I went to Dr. Salazar and after a few consultations surgery was done. He and his surgical staff explained everything in detail and I felt completely assured about the surgery. I am 100% satisfied with my results and no longer in pain. I am very happy with my results and highly recommend Dr. Dane Salazar with Loyola Medicine.
Dr Salazar did a complete shoulder replacement for me. I was in so much pain I couldn’t even take it anymore, turns out I had avascular necrosis. I thought I would still have some pain while healing but I didn’t. I left the hospital thinking ok when is the pain going to start and it never came back. I’m glad I had it fixed and more importantly Dr Salazar fixed it !
He LISTENS, never is dismissive, effectively diagnoses and comes up with a treatment plan in a timely manner. He provided my elbow surgery and without him I would not have use of my dominant arm. I am forever grateful to Dr. Salazar!
He did great job on my rotating cuff on my shoulder no pain after surgery.
