Dave's Hot Chicken is decent spicy fried chicken that will hit the spot. Their combos includes either tenders or sliders or one of each (tenders come with bread). They have about 6 levels that goes up to reaper. Hot here has a bit of a kick but isn't that spicy if you're into spice. Chicken is decent cooked, at times could be a bit more tender and pieces are relatively smaller cuts. Fries are decent and come with a coating of cayenne pepper. Quick and easy order experience and outdoor seating is nice.

Parking (4/5): street parking (metered or free - depends on where you park) Food (3/5): Got the combo #3 which has one chicken slider and one tenders with fries. Was kind of underwhelmed tbh. My spice level was "medium", but didn't taste any heat at all. Chicken was a bit on the drier side. I did enjoy the fries with dave's sauce. Checked in a got myself a free shake, which was bomb. We tried the hot and it wasn't too spicy! There's a kick but it's not unbearable. I thought that the tender portion sizes were small compared to other hot chicken places, especially compared to the cost. Not bad but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here!

Since moving out here, I started to hear more about Dave's. On my trip to my parents in San Diego, I found that one had opened in my neighborhood, so I decided to give it a try upon returning to LA. I ordered online via their website and found that they had a brisk pick up time. It was ready in under 10 minutes. Good chicken! Love the spice levels and the tender&slider combo! I usually substitute fries for Mac & cheese! This location is a little difficult to park at. They have a small parking lot out back that doesn't have enough parking and street parking is tough in the area.
